Bunny Amigurumi

Bunny Amigurumi

For months I have listened to my third son requesting a “Bunny Birthday”. In the process we decided to make it a Bugs Bunny birthday to specify a more boyish theme and give us something to work with. Well, that proved to be rather challenging.  Looney Tunes are hard to come by right now in the commercial realm.  So implementing where needed and doing what we could, we have pulled together a fun day of activities and plans for our 4-year-old. He seems to be pleased!
I wanted to show the cake, as it turned out even better than I expected.  This started as two round cakes.

The amigurumi is largely based off the pattern you can find here and is sporting a hat that matches one I made my son a year ago.

Shapes Card Challenge

This card was created for a contest entry at Stamping for Sanity. I am beginning to find out that a great way to be inspired to create cards is finding fun challenges. And, who doesn’t love a challenge with the possibility of winning something for your hard work? I have not been able to enter a lot of contests yet, but I figured this is a good place to start. Lots of fun!

Well, I figured it might be time to officially write my first post. As I am quite busy right now looking at homeschooling curriculum for the fall, my posts will be fairly short. For today, I thought I’d share a card using one of Stampin’ Up!’s Simply Scrappin’ kits. I absolutely love using these kits for this purpose since you have a whole set of coordinating materials ready to go. Makes for quick, beautiful cards. Enjoy!
